Torre Sangiovanni Albergo e Ristorante da Rosary

On returning to Torre San Giovanni for the third time (3 visits in 5 months), we had used the search engine *********** to book a room at the hotel. We selected a "junior suite" which we knew we had not tried before so were very excited to return to the place and try a different room. We were left a bit disappointed though as on arrival and after going up to our room on the second floor, I noticed (I am very much like a hotel inspector when it comes to these things), that there were a few things not working or missing. For example, there was only one small rubbish bin in the bathroom, so if we had any rubbish of whatever kind, we had to go to the bathroom to use the small one in there. There was a tray with a small kettle, two cups, two sachets of Nescafe' Gold, two of tea, some sugar, but NO milk. In the bathroom, there were the usual fluffy white towels (for the shower, for the face and the bidet), BUT unfortunately this time the shower head holder was left broken so that meant that every time we showered we had to hold the shower head.... And a detail and problem, in my opinion, that definitely needs rectifying is that the main door to the room does not close shut properly so that any other room or window opening on the floor, would make our room door move and bang every time. On the first night of our stay, I hardly slept. I did mention the shower head problem to the manager/ owner, but nothing was done. I then did not bother with the other details as I felt I would be considered a nuisance. We were left feeling a bit "unloved" as we were returning guests and have always rated the hotel with excellent marks and recommended it to everyone. On the third night before we checked-out, we decided to pay the bill then as we had an early start the following day. On checking the itemized bill for our dinner, I noticed that 4 glasses of wine had been added on the dinner bill, but in fact we had only had 2. This was because I had to remind the staff serving on the night that we had ordered two glasses of white wine, but whilst our starter had arrived, we still had not received the wine. After I explained this, the member of staff preparing the final bill, called the senior waitress to double-check this. Only two glasses of white wine were confirmed by the waitress as well. This left me feeling a bit sad as basically the checking with the member of staff, implied there was no trust in me, as a guest, to tell the truth. We love the place, but I am afraid there needs to be more attention to returning guests and more trust in them.

Mangiare in questo ristorante non è soltanto cibarsi ma è vivere una "esperienza" infatti si viene intanto ospitati in una location bellissima fatta di particolari unici nel suo genere, dettagli raffinati, arredamento pregiato, atmosfera fiabesca, che portano lontano in epoche passate facendosi ritrovare immedesimati all’interno di un castello medievale, poi il menù esclusivo con prelibatezze anche tipiche a base di cervo, coniglio selvatico, lepre, porcini, tartufo e quanto di meglio l'Umbria possa ! le tagliatelle al ragù bianco ed il coniglio ripieno che ho provato erano davvero eccellenti!!! Ho proseguito l'esperienza pernottando in una delle camere della struttura che nonostante il contesto antico e romantico è dotata di ogni confort (riscaldamento autonomo, wi-fi, doccia capiente, ecc) ottima pulizia, elevata professionalità della titolare e disponibilità di tutto il personale. Ciliegina sulla torta: il risveglio mattutino con il rintocco della campana del borgo issata sul campanile quattrocentesco a vista dalla finestra della mia camera. Un week end davvero bello e diversivo che consiglio vivamente anche come breve recupero dalla frenesia della città!!!

Un borgo ristrutturato con tutti i comfort. Una torretta hotel veramente bella. Si dorme benissimo perché senza rumori. Personale gentilissimo. Il signor Franco veramente garbato. Camere comode. Buona colazione, le torte eccezionali. Il ristorante all’interno molto valido, ottimi piatti! In una frazione vicino Todi. Consigliato!

Il personale del ristorante (che poi è una singola ragazza) è impreparato. Riguardo al cibo, purtroppo la mia valutazione è influenzata dall'antipasto: fritto di fiori di zucca ripieni di acciughe. Il fritto, per i miei gusti, va fatto all'istante. Invece quei fiori probabilmente erano stati fritti e poi congelati.Non sono erano freddi fuori (cosa orrenda per un fritto) ma parzialmente gelati dentro

Ottima struttura in un contesto d'altri tempi, con il fascino dell'antica Torre, ristrutturata con gusto ed eleganza e che dire del giardino fiorito. Appartamento Suite comodo e confortevole...ti senti una Castellana! Cucina ottima con prodotti di qualità.

Abbiamo alloggiato in questa struttura che ritengo molto affascinante ed accogliente. Personale cordiale e abbastanza disponibile. Abbiamo consumato pasti nel ristorante di questa struttura con tutto che il menù è piuttosto per palati più raffinati del nostro ad eccezione di qualche portata e con prezzi, per nostra opinione, un po alti . Credevamo che si potessero avere portate più semplici ma il menù è sempre lo stesso senza nessun cambiamento di portata. Ritornando a casa ultimato il soggiorno, parlando con dei conoscenti ci è stato riferito che il suddetto ristorante è in convenzione con the fork ma nessuno durante il nostro soggiorno ci ha menzionato che potevamo usufruire di qualche sconto. Per non parlare del vino che mio marito preferendo un frizzantino bianco e non essendo riportato nulla del genere nella carta dei vini è stato consigliato un prosecco a 20 euro la bottiglia che per fatalità andando in supermercato abbiamo trovato stesso identico al prezzo di euro 3.50. Non obietto il prezzo perché ognuno gestisce a seconda della propria esigenza ma dare un prosecco del supermercato e farlo passare per una bottiglia particolare e oltretutto far pagare un calice dello stesso 6 euro non è stato un comportamento molto professionale. Ma non per questo sconsiglio di frequentare questo albergo e ristorante Purtroppo ho notato questi punti per me negativi a causa del mio lavoro passato come, diciamo, osservatrice turistica in incognito
